The primary purpose of the Central Florida chapter is to raise funds for our scholarship fund, but we don’t stop there in promoting LSU! Our chapter is busy year-round recruiting area high school students at individual school college nights and at area college fairs.

If you are interested in learning more about LSU, please do not hesitate to contact any of our officers or board members. In addition, any of our group activities would be a great place to learn more about the school – one thing that all Tiger alumni love is reminiscing about their days at LSU!

Additionally, because scholarships are so competitive and because admission requirements and deadlines come so early, we encourage students and parents to visit www.LSU.edu for updated information.

Once you’re convinced that LSU is the place for you, we invite you to apply for the annual scholarship offered by our chapter.

The 2008 scholarship winner is Caitlin Mohs. Congratulations and best wishes to all of our scholarship applicants, as you start your collegiate career at LSU.

Dear Central Florida Alumni Association Members,

This is Caitlin Mohs. I recently received a letter from the Central Florida Alumni Association announcing me the recipient of your scholarship for the 2008-2009 school year at LSU. I just wanted to thank you all for selecting me as the recepient. I really appreciate it. I'm so excited to attend LSU and I am actually visiting the campus this week for the Spring Invitational and Orientation. Again, thank you all so very much! Geaux Tigers!

Sincerely,
Caitlin Mohs
